Bill Nix:

I don't know if you have been notified as of yet but this is the Rev. Parker
who was the Driver's Education instructor while we were in high school.
After retiring from the school system he assumed his pastoral positions full
time.  For several years he was active in churches in the Eustis area and
some of the surrounding areas.
He was a great help to me as I was preparing for the ministry and his
daughter, Claudia, and her husband were in the Sunday School class that I
attended upon visits back to Eustis (Bay Street).
Hope this will be helpful.

 From Totch Hartge:

" He taught driver's Ed to me and many of us.  He preached very little, but he was a kind, intelligent and had a wonderful sense of humor, and great tolerance for all our imperfections.

I can't quote exactly, but he said "when you love someone, it is because you love yourself, too.  Not in a  selfish way but a joyful way.  Never forgot that or who taught us."

Ronnie Phillips:

Amen to that...and he was just as awesome as a preacher as he was a
teacher...heaven is smiling today...

 Bill K:

HI,,,,I've lost two of my favorite people in the last bit of time....I worked many  times with Helen,,,she and Ben were building a home out in the country and I was helping, when Ben passed away I finished it for her....we worked together at the pool and Eustis hi....I also worked with Ben and considered him to be one of the best teachers I ever knew...
Much the same with Mr. Parker,,,we were sponser of the same class and I worked with him on other projects,,,He was top notch and a wonderful model for all the kids who loved him dearly...
      We'll miss them both tremendously....

Calvin Langley:

Tommy Parker was a great pastor and loved to keep the youth all in a neat grouper ,

he Said that we are the Sheep of his Pastures and that he was to try to help p out those who had need of a Father figure and that he loved all the people and not just one color person but all and that we were his kids and he cared for us all the time .

he stands out as a Grand Father or Father figure to Humanity and all who follow his foot steps ,both male and female .

Sallie Dillard:

I was  fortunate not only to have him for I think it was 8th grade English (missed out on the Driver’s Ed since I went to Bartram for my HS years) but to also be part of 2 of the congregations he ministered to and my children were equally fortunate to have had that opportunity. He was truly a gentle man and a wise one with a huge amount of patience. He always had a hug and a smile for you when he greeted you. I remember after moving to Georgia I had come home and ran into him at the mall in BAM – almost instantly there was a hug and a smile ad we talked briefly. He was there checking to see if any of his books he wrote were still on the shelf. He is one of the few teachers that had a tremendous impact on my life in more ways than I can count.
