Big 60's Birthday Party

Many of you wrote to agree that a shared birthday party would be an opportune time to gather.
So here are the basic details:
Saturday, August 4, 2007
11 a.m. To 2 p.m.
Crazy Gators Restaurant on Bay St.
Across from Lake Plumbing on Lake Eustis
For those who would like lunch, an $11 menu (includes tax, tip and non-alcoholic beverage) will be available. You don't have to eat to come!
Several reasons for this choice of meeting:
1) People that live a short drive from Eustis may want to make the trip in one day--come, eat, go home;
2) people may want to buddy up for dinner to continue the partying; and
3) people may want to have the evening time with family.
Since this is a birthday party, and birthday parties need presents, we are recommending/suggesting you may want to make a donation of a book or a check for a book for the EHS Library. All books given or purchased with donations will have book plates put in them stating (your preference) "Suzy Smith, EHS class of 1965" or just "EHS class of 1965." A donation is not necessary for attending the birthday party. And no amount is too small for a donation. Ronnie even offered the idea that a book(s) could be made in honor of our fallen classmates.
Books may be brought to the party or delivered to EHS. Just let Mrs. Cox (librarian) know that it is a part of our gift program.

Please make checks payable to Eustis High School and add note: Class of '65. Mrs. Cassel (school bookkeeper) will also keep a record of donations that come directly to the school.
Our school library could certainly use some more books. And, for me, bringing a gift will add to the festive atmosphere.
We need to have a head count for the restaurant (30+ people gets us our own bartender!). Catherine Heil is taking "reservations." You may email her at omaheil@aol.com . Please let her know if you will or will not be attending. This way we know you got the info. I will be mailing the information to classmates that don't have email service posted with me. If you have addresses or emails for classmates that we were unable to reach at our 40th, please send them to me.

A couple of questions have come up so here are the answers:
You don't need to send money in advance--pay on the scene. However, we have no working funds for cake, decorations etc. I just thought a few of us could throw in some coins to cover that. If you want to help with decorations, etc., you may contact Barbara Groves, Eloise Carter or Schatzi Lappin. Yes, I have the contact info and will give it out individually rather than wholesale here. RSVPs are being taken by our classmate Catherine Burgess Heil. (Contact Suzy for her phone #.) Let me know if you have any more questions. I'm just an email away.
