Case Study - VolunteerLEON

VolunteerLEON, a local non-profit service agency supplying a host of professional support services launched its new identity program with the use of an updated logo designed by Faith Martin of Longview Studios. The logo appeared in the Tallahassee Democrat, April 21st in conjunction with VolunteerLEON's 'Make a Difference with Americorps VISTA' appeal for program volunteers.
The updated mark was an outgrowth of the original Agency Resource Directory re-design project. While working with the organization it was discovered that the current logo had been created for web use only. It's limited format caused difficulties when the organization tried to repurpose it for print. The four color printing required by the web logo made it expensive to reproduce as each printer or vendor was forced to spend additional time, to make it suitable to meet their equipment specifications. The new logo was based on the original typeface to provide a smooth transition over time as the organization updated their materials. The clean lines and correct digital format makes it useable for a business card or a billboard without loss of clarity.
